Danae was born and raised on a modest farm in western Oregon.Her love for the land her family has been farming for 144 years is evident in her work.
Brown’s highly vulnerable narrative paintings connect the viewer to universal human emotion and struggle.In her work she explores the link between the human body, identity, survival, and nature, compelling us to dig deeper, by conveying her own experience of the precious fragile balance we all live in.
Danae received her Bachelor of Arts from Azusa Pacific University with an emphasis in studio art where she attained the Outstanding Art Award.
She is currently living and working on her family farm, where her days are filled with raising her daughter, chickens, bees, and hazelnuts.Additionally, she has a full time career as an oral medical prosthetic ceramist.
